For the last few days, I’ve been writing about the value of Christian fellowship.  One of the greatest benefits to fellowship is that we have the opportunity to learn from one another.  Think about all the lessons you’ve learned from fellow Christians through teachings, testimonies, or personal experiences.  Today, I’d like to challenge you to impart into others as others have imparted into you.  You may not be a teacher by title, but you still have wisdom you’ve gained that you can pass on to others.

In 2 Peter 1:15, Peter wrote, “I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things” (NIV).  Peter was nearing the end of his life, and he wanted to take the opportunity to share what he had learned with others.  His goal was that they would live out the lessons he taught them even after he was gone.  In other words, he wanted to leave a legacy that could be carried on through other people’s actions.

We should have the same desire, but we don’t have to wait until the end of our lives.  Share now what God has taught you.  Be a mentor who imparts wisdom, knowledge, and love into others.
