give-thanks1

Thanksgiving may be over, but don’t stop giving thanks! The giving of thanks is one of best ways I’ve found to bring proper balance into life. If I ever start to feel overwhelmed, I’ve learned that stopping to count my blessings helps to shift my focus so I can see things from a better perspective. When I think I’ve had a “bad day,” I sometimes start to list all the good things that happened that day, and I realize it wasn’t a bad day after all.

David declared, “I will bless the LORD at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1). I encourage you to frequently call to remembrance the great things God has done for you and to continually thank Him for His goodness. Truly, we can say, “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad” (Psalm 126:3).
