GodIsAble

Do you ever want to do more or be more, but you feel like you just don’t have the ability? We’ve all probably felt that way at one time or another, but the good news is that you don’t have to have the ability. The Bible says that “God is able to make all grace abound toward you” (2 Cor. 9:8, NKJV).  So the next time you feel unable to accomplish something, know that God is able.

God’s ability is far superior to man’s ability. Natural ability is limited, but God’s ability is unlimited. Natural ability may fail, but God’s ability never fails. Natural ability changes over time, but God’s ability is always the same.

The greatness of God’s ability is one of the most prominent themes of the Bible. When the Israelites escape from Egyptian slavery, we see that God is able! When the walls of Jericho fall to the ground, we see that God is able! When a young boy kills a giant soldier, we see that God is able! When a virgin gives birth to a Savior, we see that God is able! When Jesus rises from the dead, we see that God is able!

But God’s ability is not just something I read about in the Bible; it’s something I experience every day.  When I see my healthy family today, knowing that my wife overcame childhood cancer over 30 years ago, I know that God is able!  When I go to work every day to a job I never thought I could handle, I know that God is able!  When my family receives an unexpected financial blessing to supply for our needs, I know that God is able!

Whatever situation you’re going through, no matter how helpless you feel, know that God is able! He is able to keep what you have committed to Him (2 Tim. 1:12). He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you could ask or think (Eph. 3:20). What God has promised, He is able also to perform (Rom. 4:21).  Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart today that GOD IS ABLE!
