“Let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.” -Psalm 36:11
Make no mistake about it … your enemy, the devil, wants to drive you away from the Lord. He wants to drive you away from the things of God, drive you away from church, drive you away from the Bible, drive you away from prayer, drive you away from your faith, drive you away from fellow Christians, and drive you away from your work of ministry.
But let your prayer be as the psalmist David’s: “Let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.” I encourage you to be watchful for the devil’s tactics, as obvious or subtle as they may be. Be careful to let nothing drive you away from the Lord. God always wants you to run TO Him, not away from Him! “Draw near to God and He will draw near to You” (James 4:8).
